Handmade to order, and looked after all the way.
Old Boot Sofas

Well worth the wait

Ordering an Old Boot sofa is different to buying one off the shelf.

Nothing is made until you've ordered it, which means a wait — but it also means you know where it came from and who made it.

Here's what happens, from the day you order to the day you're sitting on it.

How ordering works

  1. You place your order

Whether you order online, over the phone or with us in the showroom, we'll confirm every detail before anything is made — the design, the size, the material, the feet.

You'll pay a 50% deposit when you order. The balance isn't due until your furniture is finished, so there's nothing more to pay while you wait.

If you've ordered online or by phone, we'll give you a ring afterwards to go through it all together, just to be certain everything's right.

  2. We start making

Nothing sits waiting in a warehouse. Once your order is confirmed, your materials are allocated and your frame is prepared in our Lancashire workshop.

From there it's typically 6 - 8 weeks from your order to your living room.

  3. It takes shape

Around three or four weeks in, we'll email you an update on how your order is progressing.

A couple of weeks after that, you'll hear from us again with a more accurate window for when it'll be finished.

  4. Almost yours

As your furniture nears completion, we'll be in touch to collect the remaining balance and talk you through what happens next.

Your order is then passed to our delivery partner, who'll confirm your address and give you access to their tracking system. They'll contact you by phone, email or text to agree a delivery date that suits you.

  5. The day it arrives

An experienced two-person team brings your furniture into the room of your choice, assembles it, attaches the feet, and takes all the packaging away with them.

They'll give you time to look it over properly before they leave. If it isn't right, tell them and they'll take it straight back.

  6. Settling in

A few days later, once you've had a chance to actually use it, we'll email to check everything's as it should be.

Cushions take a little while to settle, and materials soften as they're used.

Old Boot Sofas

Give it a few years

We're not just delivering furniture. We're helping create a piece that will become part of your home for many years to come.

A sofa sees more of your life than almost anything else you own. Quiet evenings, long conversations, afternoons that go nowhere in particular. It softens as you use it, the cushions find their shape, and it stops being furniture and starts being yours.

That's what we're building towards. Not something that looks perfect the day it arrives, but something that's still worth sitting on a long time from now.
