Returning an item
Changed your mind? You've got 28 days.
Returning an item at a glance
You've got 28 days from delivery to change your mind on a standard order.
If it isn't right on the day it arrives, say so before the delivery team leave and they'll take it straight back — no charge at all.
After that, and up to 28 days, get in touch and we'll arrange collection. There's a collection fee of £75 for most of mainland UK, or £125 for the same remote postcodes that carry the higher delivery charge.
Your furniture needs to come back in the condition it arrived in, but don't worry about keeping the packaging — we don't need it.
Frequently asked questions
What cant be returned?
What cant be returned?
Almost everything can. The exception is furniture made to bespoke dimensions, or upholstered in a material we don't normally stock — because those pieces can't be sold to anyone else, we can't take them back once production has started.
Choosing a standard design in one of our leathers or fabrics doesn't count as bespoke, whatever size or configuration you pick. If you're unsure whether your order falls into this category, ask us before you place it and we'll tell you straight.
Faulty items are a separate matter and are always covered, bespoke or not.
How do I request a return?
How do I request a return?
Contact us with your order number and a quick note about why it's going back. We'll come back to you with next steps and sort out a collection date that suits you.
If you collected your furniture from our logistics warehouse rather than having it delivered, you're welcome to return it the same way within the 28 days — bring it back in the condition it left in and there's no collection fee, since there's no collection to make. Let us know before you set off so we can make sure someone's expecting you.
When will I get my refund?
When will I get my refund?
Once we've agreed the return, we'll sort out a collection date with you. We aim to collect within 14 days, though if you're somewhere remote it can occasionally take our delivery partner up to 21.
From there it goes back to the warehouse to be checked over, and your refund is processed within 21 working days of collection. We'll let you know when it's on its way, though your bank may take a few days more to show it.
The full terms are in our refund policy.
Why are returns so rare?
Why are returns so rare?
Usually because there's an explanation. A scar or a healed mark in the leather that's meant to be there — a sign of a real hide rather than a fault. Cushions that need a few weeks of proper use before they settle. Most of the time a conversation sorts it, and the sofa stays where it is.
But that's not us talking you out of it. If you've decided it isn't right, it isn't right — and we'll arrange the collection without making it awkward. We'd just rather understand the problem first, in case it's one we can explain.
